Position/Title: Assistant Administrator of Client Services

Please describe your role:
I help to coordinate and oversee all admission, social services, and activity departments within the building. I work with department managers and front line staff to provide a smooth transition with great care at Lexington. I meet with residents and family members to help attain their highest level of satisfaction. I work with the visiting doctors and specialists to help with patient needs; assist resident and families with discharge planning when they return home; and overall work to help solve problems and build everything around the residents' needs.
Why did you decide to work at Lexington?
The Lexington reputation in Long Term Care and Sub-Acute Services was impressive, so much so that I felt it was an organization I could build a future with.
What factors were important to your decision to begin a career here (e.g., reputation, size/growth, advancement potential, leadership/structure, work-life balance, benefits/compensation, etc.)?
What was extremely important to me was the way residents are treated. Residents are put first and I've always felt the same way. The Lexington staff is dedicated in following the Mission, Vision and Values to reach his or her potential. It's their goal to provide residents with compassionate and quality care. I wanted to be a part of that team.
In your opinion, what is the working environment like at Lexington?
The environment is great and what you put into your job is what you get out of it. The environment is laid back and fun. You have the opportunity to be yourself and be comfortable.
Name three qualities or characteristics that positively define your department and team.
Fair, Dedicated, and Compassionate.
What I do matters at Lexington because...
I can make a positive difference in somebody's life, a difference that can ripple out to 50 people when everything is said and done. I know I will get support from my teammates to the corporate staff to ownership when needed.
What do you find most rewarding about your career at Lexington?
Recognition for achievements and the opportunity to grow is most rewarding of all.
