Lexington Health Network wants to change the standard in quality care

Lexington Health Network sponsored a kick-off educational event for staff in March to emphasize its amplified commitment to quality. The event featured national level experts that addressed the roadmap of how to achieve the highest level of quality and customer service for patients and families. Lexington has embarked on a quality journey similar to the path taken by many high achieving companies including health care providers. Presenters included David S. Fox, President/CEO, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital; Dr. Paul Mulhausen, Chief Medical Officer, Telligen Population Health Management; and Ben Krupowicz, Executive Director, Illinois Performance Excellence (ILPEx). Fred Benjamin, President, Skilled and Post-Acute Care Division, Lexington Health Network is spearheading this organization-wide quality initiative.

The event also discussed Lexington’s new partnership with the Illinois Performance Excellence Network to improve efficiency and effectiveness of clinical processes and quality. Ben Krupowicz, Executive Director at ILPEx remarked, “We applaud Lexington’s 2017 initiative of driving higher quality in their Health Network. As a partner, we have observed demonstrated commitment and progress by the teams, improving processes to enhance the experience of external stakeholders”

Quality has always been an important measure of success for Lexington Health Network, as Fred Benjamin comments, “Lexington Health Network understands that being able to measure and document clinical quality is

Increasingly important in the competitive landscape of post-acute care. Lexington has significant experience achieving high levels of quality as demonstrated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Five-Star rating achieved by Lexington Heath Care Centers of La Grange and Elmhurst.”

Fewer than 15% of all skilled nursing facilities nationwide achieve a Five-Star Quality Rating status. “The Illinois Health Care Association (IHCA) and its national affiliate, the American Health Care Association (AHCA) are committed to helping improve quality with our members. Lexington Health Network, as a proud members, take this quality initiative to heart,” said IHCA’s Executive Director David Voepel. “Their 5-Star CMS rating at both their LaGrange and Elmhurst centers proves they are committed to providing quality services! As they embark on this journey of high quality throughout their network, we look forward to seeing where they take it.”

Lexington Health Network is a premier provider of post-acute care and rehabilitation in the Chicagoland area.
